Found in Faery
A small one (again) although not as small as the EarthyMini!
9cm wide x 8.5cm tall x 2.5cm thick.
Springback, raised cords, 3 part closure.
Heavy, hand-stained watercolour paper, 54ish pages, torn and gold edges.
Pigskin leather cover, hand-dyed. Recessed bits in hand-painted sculpey, crystal (green aventurine and Paua shell cabochon), and wood.

Fiddly!! Bloody fiddly!!

Wow, this is the best work i've seen in this community since i joined!
it's really unique and nicely detailed. I love the little stick, maybe you could attach it with a cord so you dont loose it?

this is lovely! Your work is great!

I´v got some questions: how did you die the paper? and... what did you use to stick the crystals and ornaments to the leather?
:]
Kel Flowersfaeryshaman on February 3rd, 2007 11:38 pm (UTC)
Coffee.
Mmm, coffee, my own special blew.
All crystals and findings and bits are recessed and pinned.

Your books are so beautiful. They're like the magical books that opened portals to other worlds that I always used to hoped to find at rummage sales when I was a little girl.
Kel Flowersfaeryshaman on February 3rd, 2007 11:41 pm (UTC)
Exactly! And indeed, I don't think i've really grown out of that *wink*.
But they never seem to show up at the markets I go to, so I make them instead, *chuckles*
